Description
Design a tagging system that makes assets instantly discoverable without slowing down uploaders. You will define use cases first, then translate those needs into picklists and controlled vocabularies. The course demonstrates faceted navigation and how to keep facets from overlapping. We provide a synonym and alias table so different teams can speak their own language yet find the same files. You will learn when to use required vs. optional fields and how to keep forms fast. A governance chapter shows who can create new tags and how requests are reviewed. We cover seasonal and campaign tags that expire gracefully without breaking search. You will practice bulk‑editing metadata and running quality checks to remove drift. Dashboards reveal which tags actually drive retrieval and which create noise. Finish with a lean taxonomy that evolves with your library instead of collapsing under it.
